  • ADOPT AND ANGEL

Also this Sunday, you will be able to "adopt" angels from the Christmas tree. There are TWO options this year and please read the directions about delivery very carefully:

    • RED ANGELS are for residents at Colonial Manor Nursing Home and gifts (with angel attached) must be returned to the church on Sunday, December 10.
    • BLUE ANGELS are students in Joshua ISD and gifts (with angel attached) must be delivered to Joshua ISD Administration on Tuesday, December 19. Joshua ISD Administration Building is located at 310 E. 18th Street. If you are unable to deliver your gift(s) to the administration office, call Jill House (817-909-6697) for instructions.

  • JOSHUA CHRISTMAS PRADE

If you will be home after Thanksgiving, make plans to attend the annual JOSHUA CHRISTMAS PARADE Saturday, November 25. The parade begins at 6pm in front of Staples Elementary (505 S. Main Street) and ends here at First Methodist Church (114 Paula Drive) in our parking lot. Hot chocolate and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Clause will be in the Lobby of the Worship Center and vendor tables will be setup along the sidewalk outside. Dress warm and bring your friends and family!

  • ADVENT EVENT - A NIGHT IN BETHELHAM

Families are invited to wander through the bustling Bethlehem marketplace and discover what life was like when Jesus was born.

Unlike your typical “living Nativity,” everyone will create unique keepsakes as they interact with local shopkeepers who share the Christmas story. And…they’ll love talking to Mary and Joseph in The Stable—and hearing about the miracle of Jesus’ birth.

Free admission and open to the public. Hosted by First Methodist Joshua located at 114 Paula Drive. This event will take place in the Gym beginning at 4pm.

  • TURN AND BURN

First Methodist Joshua is honored to be part of the pilot initiative for TURN & LIVE, a Scripture-based health and wellness program created by Texas A&M University and taught by our County Extension Agent, Labeth Carter, every Monday evening at 6pm. Even if you were unable to attend the first session, come and be a part of this exciting opportunity!

  • PRAY FOR SUTHERLAND SPRINGS

Please continue to keep all those affected by the tragedy in Sutherland Springs, Texas in your prayers.

  • ESL & GED NEEDS YOU

Adult education classes are offered every Tuesday and Thursday evening and YOU have a vital role to play in the lives of every person who walks through our doors. For information on how you can help as an unpaid servant, contact Jennifer Higgins (K4j@sbcglobal.net).

  • CHRISTMAS EVE IN THE PARK

MARK YOUR CALENDAR ... Christmas Eve in the Park is Sunday, December 24 at 5pm in Joshua's City Park (105 North Main). Bring your lawn chairs and blankets!

Who We Are

We are a growing congregation, a place where you can authentically connect with others who are exploring what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We are young and old. We are left and right. We are contemporary, traditional, and blended. We believe our differences enrich the experience of community as we learn from one another. We are united by our commitment to work, play, and worship together as we answer the call to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Come experience the congregation that shares the message of hope and grace - and offers to all a place to belong.
